Applying nursing theory as a nurse educator

This assignment is an opportunity to construct new knowledge about nursing theory and explore how nursing theory may be used in a practice role as an advanced practice nurse educator. 

 

Create a 12-slide presentation, with detailed speaker notes, explaining how nursing theories are developed. Keeping in mind that Nursing theory helps nurses make decisions and explain the reasons behind decisions. Nursing educators use nursing theory to guide their actions.

 

Include the following in your presentation:

· The stages of theory development

· The major nursing theory concepts

· A discussion of why nursing theories are important.

· An explanation of the application of theory to practice

· Examples of how you will use nursing theory in your future role as an advanced practice nurse.
