SPORT OBERMEYER ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
OVERVIEW
This week there is a focus on inventory management and risk pooling. Inventory management
aims to find the correct amount of inventory to fulfil customer demand without accumulating
overstock. Inventory records must be accurate, and goods and services must successfully flow
through the supply chain to meet customers’ needs for products and provide the best customer
service. Variability in supply chains complicates an organization’s ability to forecast, plan, and
control inventory. However, failing to address inventory accuracy problems jeopardizes its
financial position and its ability to survive in the future.
